Dr. Mazella Sanders – Assistant Principal
Greetings,
I am Dr. Mazella Sanders. I am truly honored to be a part of the Leakesville Junior High School family as the new Assistant Principal. I am excited about this new journey as I begin my 21st year in education. I am so eager to work with the wonderful staff and students to continue developing and nurturing young minds. I look forward to building relationships with the students, teachers, and families.
Throughout my years of experience, I have serviced students in various capacities in the educational field. My professional interests include supporting educators in their professional growth and utilizing data analysis to increase growth and academic achievement in all students. I have developed a true passion for encouraging students to perform their absolute best and supporting teachers to provide high quality, standards based instruction. My belief is that every child has the potential to thrive academically, and I am committed to serving the needs of our students.
I am a proud graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi where I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I later attained a Masters and Specialist Degree in Elementary Education from William Carey University. Later, I continued to further my education at William Carey and completed an additional Specialist and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership.
